“I can tell you because I know you won’t judge me”.

Of all the feedback I have received over the years, this statement from clients is the most often said and the one that gives me the most pride as a professional.  Therapy, to me, is a conversation. Through that conversation, you will likely learn more about yourself, your relationships with others, and how you view the world. We will work together to identify your goals and develop a roadmap to get you to your destination. We all have a story to tell and each story is important and valuable because you are important and valuable, too. It takes a tremendous amount of courage to be open and vulnerable with another human being.  I strive to develop a working relationship with my clients that will feel comfortable, supportive, and safe.

I am a licensed independent mental health practitioner with over 20 years of experience working with mental and emotional health issues across the adult lifespan.  I graduated with a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Nebraska in 1996. I have a general psychotherapy practice and work with individuals on issues as varied as depression, anxiety, grief, OCD, ADHD, relationships, common life stressors, and personal growth. I also work with couples on growing closer together and developing healthy and effective communication skills.  My special area of interest in working with women who struggle with anxiety and depression during pregnancy and postpartum and young families trying to find their way without losing their minds.

Whether you are new to therapy or a therapy veteran, I would love to have a conversation with you. Grab a seat on my couch and let’s get started on the path.
